A Diverse and Connected Community
This year, MUWCI welcomed 235 students from different countries countries, with several new nationalities joining the community. The strength of our global identity remains rooted in accessibility:
- 181 students received financial assistance
- Need- and merit-based university scholarships amounted to over USD 15 million for the Class of 2025
Our commitment to diversity, equity, and opportunity continues to shape the learning experience both inside and beyond the classroom.
Academic Excellence with Purpose
MUWCI students performed strongly in the IB Diploma Programme:
- 96.5% pass rate, above the global benchmark
- Average score of 33
- 58 Bilingual Diplomas, reflecting linguistic strength across the student body
True to the UWC ethos, academic achievement is complemented by deep reflection, responsibility, and global citizenship.
Learning Through Experience
Experiential learning continued to be at the heart of MUWCI life:
- Over 50 CAS activities and 28 student-led service initiatives
- Outdoor education for all students, with training in wilderness safety, sustainability practices, and leadership
- Experience India Week, Project Week collaborations with NGOs, and redesigned campus events that celebrate inclusivity and student voice
Students engaged closely with the Mulshi Valley community, strengthening relationships through long-term initiatives and the Akshara programme.
Pathways to the Future
Our University Guidance and Counselling Office supported students as they explored opportunities across the world:
- Offers from 201 universities across multiple continents
- Final enrolments at 58 institutions
- Extensive in-person and virtual visits from universities, fostering global connections that help students navigate life after MUWCI
Strengthening Alumni Bonds
This year saw major reunions, including the 25-year and 10-year reunions, and the continued strengthening of global alumni chapters. Alumni returned to the hill to reconnect, mentor, and share their journeys, highlighting the enduring impact of the MUWCI experience.
Investing in a Sustainable Campus
Significant progress was made on our long-term Campus Renovation Master Plan. Key developments included:
- The Performing Arts Centre nearing completion
- A renovated library with modern, sustainable infrastructure
- Energy-efficient upgrades across the campus
- Solar installations and improved water-management systems
These improvements support both student well-being and our environmental commitments.
Fuelled by Donor Support
Our work is made possible through the generosity of alumni, parents, foundations, and partners. This year, MUWCI raised INR 87.8 million to support scholarships, sustainability projects, and community programmes.
