After an incredible and transformative chapter, I’ve recently concluded my time as a faculty member at Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI). It’s hard to put into words just how impactful this experience has been for me — both professionally and personally.
At MUWCI, I had the deep privilege of teaching and learning alongside students and colleagues from over 70 countries — each bringing stories, convictions, and dreams that expanded my worldview every single day.
But more than the academics or the view from the valley, what has stayed with me most is the power of community living.
Living and working on campus wasn’t simply about proximity — it created space for friendship, dialogue, vulnerability, and growth. Community living at MUWCI taught me how to share not just meals and homes, but values, perspectives, responsibilities, and aspirations. It showed me how education doesn’t end when class does — it continues over late-night conversations, shared hikes, common room debates, quiet acts of care, and collective efforts during moments of crisis.

It wasn’t always easy — like any meaningful community, it required deep empathy, constant reflection, and a willingness to lean into discomfort. But the reward was immense: I walk away not just with memories, but with a stronger sense of what it means to live intentionally with others, across cultures and differences.
The UWC vision is bold: to nurture young people who will be champions of peace and sustainability in an increasingly divided world. Being part of that mission — even in a small way — has enriched my life profoundly. As I take time now to pause, reflect, and step into my next chapter, I am tremendously grateful for all the students, colleagues, staff members, and friends who were part of this journey with me. I will continue to cherish all the sessions with the Kriya girls, Just Dance and dinners with the advisory group, Theatre season rehearsals, walks down the ghat road, MUWCIlympics, A5 banter, wada meetings, feisty GA sessions, and everything in between that cannot be articulated, but only reminisced with nostalgia.
Thank you for teaching me how to lead with curiosity, how to listen deeply, and how to live with heart.
Here’s to the power of education — and the enduring strength of community.
