On UWC Day, the MUWCI community celebrated with a meaningful lineup of activities embracing this year’s theme, “Together We Change.” The day began with Wada group reflections, followed by expressive artwork on UWC values. Students then joined campus rejuvenation projects, from creating vibrant graffiti pillars, clean-up drive, and tree plantation. A special community lunch made the day extra special, when students and faculty sat down together, share a meal, and reflect on the sense of community and gratitude that makes UWC so unique.
Together, these initiatives reflected MUWCI’s commitment to positive change by enhancing the world immediately around us.
These are the activities students engaged in:
– Graffiti of UWC Values at AQ: Students and faculty together paint 10 pillars with UWC values, bringing vibrant reminders of our shared mission to the place where they spend the most time together.
– Trash collection: Everyone participated in collecting trash/litter from the biodiversity spaces to keep our environment clean and sustainable.
– Rejuvenating Campus Spaces: The community worked on restoring and enhancing spaces that were built during COVID but now need attention. This included reusable tyre structures, seating pods, the vertical garden, and the permaculture garden. These spaces represent not just areas to relax, but the community spirit and creativity of MUWCI.
